Connection Procedures
Follow these simple steps to get started with the ECLYPSE Connected Thermostat:
There are two networking methods to connect to an ECY-STAT for the first time:
£ Wi-Fi.
£ Wired (Ethernet connection to a router that will act as a DHCP server).
Once you have connected the thermostat(s) to a network, configure the thermostat.
ECY-STAT Wi-Fi Hotspot Connection
1. On your PC or wireless device, connect to the wireless hotspot named ECLYPSE-XXYYZZ where
XXYYZZ are the last 6 hexadecimal characters of the controller’s MAC address.
2. Enter the default password for the hotspot: eclypse1234.
3. Enter the following URL in your web browser’s address bar (Google Chrome is recommended):
https://192.168.0.1 to access the ECLYPSE Web Interface.
4. Set up the ECY-STAT to communicate as a client with your router.
NOTE:
Alternatively, set up the ECY-STAT with a static IP according to your network, in the absence
of a DHCP server. Consult your IT department if you need help with this configuration.
ECY-STAT Wired IP Connection Using a DHCP Server
If no DHCP server is available, use a Wi-Fi Hotspot Connection with a Static IP configuration according to your
network.
1. Plug both the ECLYPSE Connected Thermostat and your PC to a router acting as DHCP server.
2. Make sure your PC is on the same IP subnet as the ECLYPSE controller. Consult your IT depart-
ment if you need help with this configuration.
3. Refer to the About screen in the Main Menu user interface and enter the Ethernet IP address in
your web browser’s address bar (Google Chrome is recommended) to access the ECLYPSE Web
Interface.
NOTE:
You should allow one (1) minute after the home screen is displayed for the ECY-STAT to fully
boot up before accessing the Web Interface.
