M1.9-1 Electric brake delay “EBrkDly”
This setting is normally associated with a vehicle fitted with an electromechanical brake connected to the “Pin
A16 Contactor 2 o/p (Magnet Brake - Fan control)” of the 35-Way Connector. Its behaviour depends on “M8.2-
1 Driver output 2 configuration for traction“Drv2Cfg””.
• If “M8.2-1 Driver output 2 configuration for traction“Drv2Cfg”” is set to 0 or 4, this parameter sets the
delay between the entering of “end of braking mode” (speed lower than “M1.2-1 Speed threshold to enter
End-of-Braking (EoB) mode ”SpdThEoB””) and the electric brake being applied. If the vehicle is detected at
standstill (speed lower than “5M1.2-2 Zero speed threshold ”ZSpdTh””) before “M1.9-1 Electric brake
delay “EBrkDly”” is elapsed, the EM brake is applied and therefore this has no effect.
Resuming: the EM brake is applied if “M1-51T Electric brake delay “EBrkDly”” is elapsed from the instant
of entering in end of braking OR if zero speed is detected.
The Following picture show a situation when the “M1.9-1 Electric brake delay “EBrkDly”” is set longer than
the time the vehicle takes to slow down below the “M1.2-2 Zero speed threshold ”ZSpdTh””.
The Following picture show a situation when the “M1-54 Electric brake delay “EBrkDly”” is set shorter than
the time the vehicle takes to slow down below the “M1-18 Zero Speed Threshold to enter hill hold or
neutral brake end ”ZSpdTh””.
