M1.12-1 Tiller switch (DI4) function ”TillFunc”
This sets the function of the tiller switch when “M2-2 Vehicle type selection ”Ride/Wlk”” is set to 1 or 2 (Walkie).
• If set to 0, the controller will apply neutral braking when the tiller switch is open. The electro-
mechanical brake will be applied according to “M8.2-1 Driver output 2 configuration for
traction“Drv2Cfg””. The controller will stop giving power to the motor after “M1.2-3 Neutral brake-
end delay “NBrkEnd”” is elapsed.
• If set to 1, the controller will apply neutral braking when the tiller switch is opened. Neutral brake
will be performed with a fixed 0.5s Neutral Braking Ramp time and, if “M2-1 Control Mode
“Spd/Torq”” is set to 1, 2 or 3 ( thus controller in torque mode), 100% braking torque demand. As soon
as the controller has reached “M1.2-2 Zero speed threshold ”ZSpdTh””, the electro-mechanical brake
will be applied without any delay. The controller will stop giving power to the motor after “M1.2-3
Neutral brake-end delay “NBrkEnd”” is elapsed.
• If set to 2 the controller will apply neutral braking and electro-mechanical brake as soon as the tiller
switch is opened. Neutral brake will be performed with a fixed 0.5s Neutral Braking Ramp time and,
if “M2-1 Control Mode “Spd/Torq”” is set to 1, 2 or 3 ( thus controller in torque mode) 100% braking
torque demand. The controller will stop giving power to the motor after “M1.2-3 Neutral brake-end
delay “NBrkEnd”” is elapsed.
Mind that in this case parameter “M2-2 Vehicle type selection ”Ride/Wlk”” is set to 2 (operation enabled with
only Speed 3 input), the electro-mechanical brake will not be applied when 35-Way Connector pin 7 is open
(Speed 3 active).
This parameter requires a key cycle off-on to be effective.
M1.12-2 Belly switch (DI3) disabled at zero speed and in neutral “BellFunc”
This sets the function of the belly switch when “M2-2 Vehicle type selection ”Ride/Wlk”” is set to 1 or 2
(Walkie).
• If set to 0, the belly switch will provoke an Emergency Drive Forward at any time, also when the
vehicle is in neutral and/or at zero speed.
• If set to 1, the belly switch will provoke an Emergency Drive Forward only when the vehicle is
moving, thus the Emergency Drive Forward will not be performed with vehicle in neutral and/or at
zero speed.
This parameter requires a key cycle off-on to be effective.
M1.12-3 Belly switch emergency drive forward speed “BellySpd”
M1.12-4 Belly switch emergency drive forward time “BellyTim”
These two settings are active if Walkie-type vehicle is enabled (“M2-2 Vehicle type selection ”Ride/Wlk”” set
higher than 0).
In a vehicle of this kind, if input “Pin A3 - Footswitch / Belly Button” is activated while driving reverse or when
the vehicle is in neutral, the vehicle immediately stops and performs an emergency drive forward.
These parameters define, respectively, the speed at which the vehicle will drive forward if the belly switch gets
activated and the time for which the vehicle will drive forward.
Notice that if any of these two parameters is set to 0 (or if both are set to 0), the Emergency Drive Forward will
not be performed and the vehicle only performs the Emergency stop.
