Pin A1 Forward i/p
Activating this input in conjunction with the Accelerator Analog Input and the foot switch (if ride on vehicle
is selected - see Pin A3 Footswitch / Belly Button and M2-2 Vehicle type selection ”Ride/Wlk””) a drive
forward signal is demanded to the controller.
WARNING!
If both Pin 1 (FW) and Pin 2 (RV) are active at the same time, the controller will detect and
signal the fault with 1 second delay. Please notice that if the vehicle is in neutral and the
accelerator is pressed, if both switched are active at the same time the vehicle will move for
1 second.
Pin A2 Reverse i/p
Activating this input in conjunction with the Accelerator (if “ride on” vehicle is selected -see Pin A3 Footswitch
/ Belly Button” and “M2-2 Vehicle type selection Ride/Wlk”) a drive reverse operation is activated.
WARNING!
If both Pin 1 (FW) and Pin 2 (RV) are active at the same time, the controller will detect and
signal the fault with 1 second delay. Please notice that if the vehicle is in neutral and the
accelerator is pressed, if both switched are active at the same time the vehicle will move for
1 second.
Pin A3 Footswitch / Belly Button
The function of this input can be selected according to the programmable parameter M2-2 Vehicle type
selection ”Ride/Wlk”:
If set to Ride On (0), then the vehicle’s Footswitch should be connected to this pin, and must be
activated to allow drive.
If set to Walkie (1), then the vehicle’s Belly Button switch should be connected to this pin.
Pin A4 Seat / Tiller / Safe torque off
In case Control Via CAN function is not enabled (“M7.2-3 TxPDO configuration “PDO cfg”” set greater or equal
than “4”), the function of this input is related to a safety interlock. This could be a Seat switch on a ride-on
vehicle”, a Tiller switch on a “walkie” vehicle or a general demand’s trigger on other vehicle types. The switch
must be closed to allow drive. If the switch is opened while driving the vehicle will stop with neutral braking.
In case Control Via CAN function is enabled (“M7.2-3 TxPDO configuration “PDO cfg”” lower than “4”), the
function of this input is a hardware safe torque off. This means that this switch must be closed to allow
driving. If the switch is opened while driving, no torque will be applied to the motor, which is left free to
rotate, and Line Contactor will be opened. See [1] for further details about this function.
