M2-2 Vehicle type selection ”Ride/Wlk”
This sets the function of the input pins 3 and 4 on 35-Way Connector.
• If set to 0 (Ride-on), then pin 3 will be a Footswitch input and pin 4 will be a Seat Switch input.
• If set to 1 (Walkie), then pin 3 will be a Belly Button input and pin 4 will be a Tiller Switch input. With
this configuration the vehicle can be moved only when the tiller switch is closed. Please refer to
parameters “M1.12-3 Belly switch emergency drive forward speed “BellySpd””and “M1.12-4 Belly
switch emergency drive forward time “BellyTim”” to tune the Belly Button functionality.
• If set to 2 (Walkie – allow drive with open tiller switch), the pin configuration is the same as described
for option ‘1’. However, an additional functionality allows the driver to operate the vehicle with the
tiller switch open if input pin 7 on 35 Way Connector is open and setting “M2-4 Digital input 7
configuration ”Spd3/Hbk”” is set to 0 (Speed 3 function). This allows to drive and the speed is limited
to “M5.1-6 Cutback speed 3 “Speed3””; this function can assist drivers to maneuver in smaller areas,
such as truck platforms.
Please refer to parameters “M1.12-3 Belly switch emergency drive forward speed “BellySpd””and
“M1.12-4 Belly switch emergency drive forward time “BellyTim”” to tune the Belly Button
functionality.
• If set to 3 (electric Vehicle) the vehicle type correspond to a ride on vehicle with the possibility to
perform a neutral brake operation in torque mode with a braking effect proportional to the first part
of accelerator range. This option is active only for torque mode and the accelerator range used for
braking is set by M1.6-6 Accelerator/Neutral braking threshold “AccNBThr”
This parameter requires a key cycle off-on to be effective.
M2-3 Digital input 5 and 6 configuration ”Sp/In/Ad”
This sets the function of the input pins 5 and 6 on 35-way Connector.
• If set to 0 (Speed Limit), then the inputs 5 and 6 can be used to limit the speed of the vehicle via the
parameters “M5.1-4 Cutback speed 1 “Speed1”” and “M5.1-5 Cutback speed 2 “Speed2””. The input
pins are normally closed, so speed limit will be activated if input switches are opened.
• If set to 1 (Inching), then the inputs 5 and 6 can be used to “inch” the vehicle. Thus if the input 5 is
activated (input switch closed) the vehicle will move forward at speed “M1.11-1 Inching speed
“InchSpd”” for a time defined by “M1.11-2 Inching time “InchTime””. If the input 6 is activated (input
switch closed) the vehicle will move reverse at speed “M1.11-1 Inching speed “InchSpd”” for a time
defined by “M1.11-2 Inching time “InchTime””.
After moving forward or reverse the vehicle stops.
Input 5 and 6 will operate for inching function as normally open switches.
• If set to 2 (Advanced mode), then the inputs 5 and 6 will be used to select three different drive styles:
Normal Drive Styles, Drive Style 1 and Drive Style 2. For each drive style it is possible to set up different
ramp times for torque and speed and different driving and braking torque level.
Inputs 5 and 6 will operate as normally closed switches input.
For the three different drive styles the following set of parameters are adopted:
i. Normal Drive Style (input 5 closed & input 6 closed):
