M5.1-5 Cutback speed 2 “Speed2”
The function of this parameter is dependent on the setting of “M2-3Digital input 5 and 6 configuration
”Sp/In/Ad”” in the Controller Set-up menu, which sets whether pins 5 and 6 are used as speed limiting inputs
or inching control inputs or advanced mode.
If set to 0 (Speed Limits), then “Speed 2” sets the maximum speed of the vehicle when the switch connected
to input 6 on 35way connector is open. The speed limit is not applied when the switch is closed or a lower
speed limit is in operation.
If set to 1 (Inching), this set is not active
If set to 2 (Advanced Mode), then “Speed 2” sets the maximum speed of the vehicle when the switches
connected to inputs 5 and 6 are configured to select Drive Style 2 (refer to Control set up “M2-3 Digital input 5
and 6 configuration ”Sp/In/Ad”” for configuration details).
If set to 3 (Speed Limit and footbrake switch), this set is not active.
M5.1-6 Cutback speed 3 “Speed3”
This parameter is active if “M2-4 Digital input 7 configuration ”Spd3/Hbk”” is set to 0 and Advanced mode is
not active (“M2-3 Digital input 5 and 6 configuration ”Sp/In/Ad”” set different than 2). If so, “Speed Limit 3”
sets the maximum speed of the vehicle when the switch connected to input 7 on 35way connector is open. The
speed limit is not applied when the switch is closed or a lower speed limit is in operation.
M5.1-7 Speed limit 3 drive time “Spd3Time”
This parameter is active if “M2-4 Digital input 7 configuration ”Spd3/Hbk”” is set to “2” and Advanced mode is
not active (“M2-3 Digital input 5 and 6 configuration ”Sp/In/Ad”” set different than 2). If so, when the speed
limit 3 is active, the vehicle will only be allowed to drive for the time defined by this parameter. Then it will
neutral brake to 0 speed. Once 0 speed is reached, the timer is reset and the vehicle is allowed to drive again
(after removing FW/RV direction and applying it again). If the speed limit 3 is set to inactive while the timer is
expiring, the vehicle will be allowed to drive as normal and the timer will be reset. If neutral is selected while
the timer is expiring and then a direction is given again, the timer is not reset unless the vehicle has reached
zero speed.
M5.1-8 Handbrake speed limit “HandBrk”
This parameter is active if “M2-4 Digital input 7 configuration ”Spd3/Hbk”” is set to 1. If so, “HandBrk” sets the
maximum speed of the vehicle when the switch connected to input 7 on 35way connector is closed. The speed
limit is not applied when the switch is open or a lower speed limit is in operation.
Please note that even if this parameter is set to 0Hz the controller will continue to pulse if the switch connected
“Pin A7 Speed Limit 3 / Handbrake” is closed and it is demanded to drive. This is designed to avoid rollback on
gradients.
M5.1-9 Handbrake torque limit “MxDrTrq3”
This parameter is active if “M2-4 Digital input 7 configuration ”Spd3/Hbk”” is set to 1. If so, “MxDrTrq3” sets
the maximum drive torque when the switch connected to input 7 on 35way connector is closed. The torque
limit is not applied when the switch is open or a lower torque limit is in operation.
M5.1-10 Speed limit ramp time “SpLimRmp”
This parameter is active only in torque mode.
This sets the time taken to decelerate from maximum speed to zero speed when a speed limit (1,2 or 3) is
activated.
The speed limit ramp time is applied only if the actual motor speed is higher than speed limit one.
Speed limit ramping is not applied when speed limit is removed.
