M1.13-6 Low speed neutral brake ramp time factor “LsNBDamp”
This setting is used to increase the neutral brake ramp time when driving at low speed in speed mode. It may
happen that the feeling of neutral brake stop is fine when neutral braking from high speeds, but feels too harsh
when neutral braking from medium or low speed. This parameter then sets an increase of the neutral brake
time at medium to low speeds.
• If set to 1.0 (no damping), the parameter will have no effect.
If set greater than 1.0 (neutral brake damped at low speed), the neutral brake ramp time will be
increased when speed is lower than 75%. Neutral brake ramp time will be increased as in the following
figure:
“M1.13-6 LsNBDamp” effect (speed mode only)
For example, with the following settings: M1.1-4Neutral brake ramp time “NBrkRamp” to 5s and M1.13-6
“LsNBDamp” to 2s:
▪ If the actual speed when Neutral brake is entered is 80%, the ramp time will be 5s*80%
▪ If the actual speed when Neutral brake is entered is 20%, the ramp time will be 5s*2s*20%
▪ If the actual speed when Neutral brake is entered is 50%, the ramp time will be (5s+(5s*2s-
5s)*50%)*50%
For an optimal tuning it is suggested to proceed as follows:
1. Tune “M1.1-4 Neutral brake ramp time “NBrkRamp””, by driving at full speed and releasing the
accelerator pedal completely. Adjust until the stop time and brake feeling is fine.
2. Tune “M1.13-6 Low speed neutral brake ramp time factor “LsNBDamp””, by driving at low speed (10%
to 20%) and releasing the accelerator pedal completely. Adjust slightly (suggested values are between
1.2 and 3) until brake feeling and stop time is fine.
3. Also try the feeling at medium speeds (40%, 50% and 60%).
