• If set to 0 (Digital inputs Active low), the digital inputs will be considered active when the input is tied
to battery ground and inactive when not connected. An internal pull up resistor will be enabled.
• If set to 1 (Digital inputs Active high), the digital inputs will be considered active when the input is
tied to battery plus and inactive when not connected. An internal down resistor will be enabled.
For the Digital Inputs connection and wiring details refer to section “3.1 Light wiring”.
The change of this parameters is actuated after a key power off-on cycle.
M2-9 Analog Input 2 configuration “AI2Cfg”
This sets the function of potentiometer connected to the “Pin A11 Analogue AD2 -- Footbrake pot”.
• If set to 0 (default), AI2 will be used as a footbrake input.
To tune properly the footbrake behaviour, parameters “M1.7-1 Brake pot minimum voltage level
“BrkMin”” and “M1.7-2 Brake pot maximum voltage level “BrkMax”” have to be set.
• If set to 1, AI2 will be used to set an adjustable torque limit. The torque limit is applied only for drive
torque. It is therefore not considered when foot braking or neutral braking.
• If set to 2, AI2 will be used to set an adjustable speed limit scaled over maximum forward frequency.
This means that the speed limit is absolute and referred to “M5.1-2 Maximum speed forward
“SpdMaxF””. If a speed limit lower than that is active, it will take precedence.
Example:
SpdMaxF = 400Hz; AI2 = 50%; Speed limit = SpdMaxF*AI2% = 400Hz*50% = 200 Hz.
If “Spd1” becomes active with 150Hz speed limit, the motor would run at 150Hz and the AI2 speed
limit is not considered until the AI2% < 150Hz/400Hz*100% = 35%.
• If set to 3, AI2 will be used to set an adjustable speed limit scaled over active speed limit. This means
that the speed limit is relative and referred to the active speed limit. It will be a percentage going from
0 rpm to the active speed limit.
Example:
SpdMaxF = 400 Hz; AI2 = 50%; Speed limit = SpdMaxF*AI2% = 400Hz*50% = 200Hz.
If “Spd1” becomes active (and it is the lowest speed limit) with 150Hz, the speed limit will be calculated
as Spd1*AI2% = 150Hz*50% = 75Hz.
This parameter requires a key cycle off-on to be effective.
To tune properly when selected in mode 1, 2 or 3, parameters “M1.7-3 Analogue Input 2 minimum voltage
level “AI2 min” and M1.7-4 Analogue Input 2 maximum voltage level “AI2 max”“ have to be set.
M2-10 Analog Input 3 configuration “AI3Cfg”
This sets the function of potentiometer connected to the “Pin A12 Analogue AD3 -- Steer pot”.
• If set to 0 (default), AI3 will be used as a steer pot input .
Remember to tune properly parameters “M1.8-1 Steer pot minimum voltage level”StrMin””, “M1.8-2
Steer pot middle point voltage level ”StrMid”” and “M1.8-3 Steer pot maximum voltage level
”StrMax”” before using this option.
• If set to 1, AI3 will be used to set an adjustable torque limit. The torque limit is applied only for drive
torque. It is therefore not considered when foot braking or neutral braking.
• If set to 2, AI3 will be used to set an adjustable speed limit scaled over maximum forward frequency.
This means that the speed limit is absolute and referred to “M5.1-2 Maximum speed forward
“SpdMaxF””. If a speed limit lower than that is active, it will take precedence.
Example:
SpdMaxF = 400Hz; AI3 = 50%; Speed limit = SpdMaxF*AI3% = 400Hz*50% = 200 Hz.
