Warning Messages
A warning is indicated when information is being displayed or when there may be something
wrong with the process but will not immediately stop the SmartDate printing.
• The warning output will indicate ‘warning’ whenever a warning is active
• The fault output will continue to indicate ‘no fault’ when there are warnings but no faults

2000 Clean Printhead The predetermined printhead usage distance
has been reached
Clean printhead and clear warning
2001 Clock Problem A fault with the internal real time clock has been
detected
Reset the real time clock and power cycle
the controller. Contact Markem-Imaje or
approved Distributor if problem persists
2002 Printer Processor Step Too Low Incompatible Controller Hardware Contact Markem-Imaje or your approved
Distributor
2003 Printer Command Failed Incorrect sequence of manual control actions
for example, attempting to wind ribbon while in
‘Producing’ mode
Clear warning and continue
2004 Printhead Damage Detected The Controller has detected failed Printhead
elements
Check print and if possible reposition the
print avoiding the failed printing elements or
replace the printhead
