4.3 Inserting or replacing the needle

To insert or replace the needle:
1. Switch off the machine.
2. Turn the handwheel until the needle bar (1) reaches the top
dead centre.
3. Loosen screw (2).
4. Pull the needle out downwards.
5. Insert the new needle.
Important
Align the needle so that the groove (3) faces to the rear.
6. Tighten screw (2).
