The SAM2 GSM/GPRS modem from InterCEL is also supported, as shown in Figure
5-20. The modem is connected to the meter via a short cable, which plugs directly into
the meters RJ45 modem port, and also supplies power to the modem.

A space is kept between the modem and the front of the terminal cover, to allow for an
antenna to be fitted under the terminal cover as shown in Figure 5-21. In good signal
areas, this allows for easier installation. If the internal antenna is not good enough, an
external antenna may be fitted instead.
