FAILURE
One top burner, not burning
properly.
Top burner valve difficult to
turn.
Igniters do not spark when the
burner knob is turned to the
lite position.
Igniters spark but burner does
not ignite.
Igniters continue to spark af-
ter burner is ignited.
CHECK
1. Is the burner ring and cap
installed correctly?
2. Is the orifice, aluminum tube
or top burner valve restricted?
1. Can the valve stem be
depressed far enough to
unlock the valve.
1. Does a snapping sound occur
when the valve is turn to the
lite position?
2. Measure the input voltage to
one of the top burner switches.
Is the reading line to neutral?
3. With the valve set to the lite
position measure the output
voltage of the valve switch. Is
the reading line a neutral?
1. Is the burner ring and cap
installed correctly?
2. Lite the burner with a match.
Is the flame adjusted
properly?
