A thermal insulation jacket should protect both the sensor body and the flanges.
A thermal insulation jacket designed specifically for your meter is available from
Micro Motion. See the product data sheet for your meter.
14.9 Gas measurement problems
Gas measurement problems and recommended actionsTable 14-5:
Problem Possible causes Recommended actions
Compressibility or
other gas process var-
iable reads NaN (Not a
Number)
Process variable outside valid range for
compressibility method
Input to gas measurement not operational
Inaccurate density reading due to leakage
Ensure that your process is within the valid
range for the configured compressibility
method.
Ensure that all inputs are configured cor-
rectly.
Ensure that all inputs are operating cor-
rectly.
Check for leakage.
Inaccurate gas read-
ings
Inaccurate density, temperature, pressure,
or other inputs
Inappropriate calibration factors
Ensure that the process data used for gas
measurement is accurate. This includes
density, temperature, pressure, gas com-
position.
Ensure that the correct calibration is being
used for measurement.
Recalibrate the device.

tion measurement
reading
Inaccurate density measurement
Incorrect matrix data
Inappropriate trim values
Verify the molecular weight, specific gravi-
ty, or relative density value. If it is not accu-
rate, resolve your measurement problems.
Ensure that the appropriate matrix is ac-
tive.
Ensure that the matrix is configured cor-
rectly.
Adjust the concentration value by applying
an offset. See Section 13.5.
