LED Color Meaning
1 Supply voltage Off Supply voltage is off or too low.
Green Supply voltage is ok.
2 Device status (normal
operation)
Off Firmware error.
Green Device status is ok.
Flashing green Device is not configured.
Flashing red A diagnostic event with "Warning" diagnostic
behavior has occurred.
Red A diagnostic event with "Alarm" diagnostic behavior
has occurred.
Flashing red/green The device restarts.
2 Device status (during
start-up)
Flashes red slowly If > 30 seconds: problem with the boot loader.
Flashes red quickly If > 30 seconds: compatibility problem when
reading the firmware.
3 Flashing/network status Green Cyclic data exchange is active.
Flashing green Following request from automation system:
Flash frequency: 1 Hz (flash functionality: 500 ms
on, 500 ms off)
Cyclic data exchange is not active, no IP address is
available:
Flash frequency: 3 Hz
Red IP address is available but there is no connection to
the automation system
Flashing red Cyclic data exchange was active but the connection
was disconnected:
Flash frequency: 3 Hz
4 Port 1 active:
PROFINET
Off Not connected or no connection established.
White Connected and connection established.
Flashing white Communication not active.
5 Port 2 active:
PROFINET and
service interface (CDI)
Off Not connected or no connection established.
Yellow Connected and connection established.
Flashing yellow Communication not active.
