TheB5GigabitEthernetswitchesarestoreandforwardstackableswitchesthatcanbeadapted
andscaledtohelpmeetyournetworkrequirements.Theseswitchesprovideamanagement
platformandanuplinktoanetworkbackboneforastackedgroupofuptoeightB5switches.
Youcanalsousea
redundantDCpowersupplywiththeseswitchestohelppreventdowntime
duetoaninternalpowersupplyfailureintheswitchorACpowersource.
Youcaninstalltheswitch
onaflatsurfaceorintoastandard19‐inchrackwithcustomer‐supplied
mountinghardware,andconfiguretheswitchfunctionsusingtheWebView™application,CLI
switchingcommands,and/orSNMP.
TheB5switchcanconnecttoEthernetnetworksorworkstationsthroughRJ45connectors,SFP
ports,or10Gports,dependingonyour
model’sconfiguration.TheSFPand10Gportssupport
optionalpluggabletransceivers,whicharehotswappable.
