9. If necessary, replace the cable retention bracket.
10. You must reboot the I-Series switch in order to apply the configuration stored on the memory
card to the switch.

Securing the IOM Cables
You can secure any cables connected to the RJ45 connectors on an IOM with the provided cable
retention bracket. The bracket must be installed if the I-Series switch is installed in a hazardous
environment. This procedure is not necessary if you do not have an IOM with RJ45 connectors.
Refer to Figure 2-25 on page 2-35 as you perform the following procedure. Although an I3H-12TX
IOM is shown in the figure, the procedure is the same for all IOMs with RJ45 connectors.
To install an IOM cable bracket:
1. Locate the cable retention bracket and screws which were removed from the IOM previously.
2. Place the bracket over the cables as shown in Figure 2-25. Make sure the cables are held firmly
in place.
3. Fasten the bracket with the two screws. These screws will also fasten the front of the IOM to
the chassis.
