B.2 REMOVING THE CHASSIS COVER
This section describes how to remove the chassis cover.
To remove the chassis cover, refer to Figure B-1 and proceed as follows:
1. Disconnect the switch from the network as follows:
a. Unplug both power cords from the rear of the chassis.
b. Disconnect all network cables attached to the switch.
2. If the chassis is rack mounted, remove it from the rack (refer to Chapter 3).
3. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the 6 screws
➀ attaching the cover ➁ to the chassis ➂.
(See Figure B-1.)
Electrical Hazard: Do not remove the cover from the 1G694-13 while power is applied to the unit.
Hazardous voltages are present and could cause personal injury and/or damage the unit.
Do not power up the 1G694-13 again until the cover and screws are in place.
Riesgo Electrico: No debe de remover la tapa durente que este coneltado a la corriente. Una
descarga electrica le puede causar y probocarle daños, al igual que al aparato.
No enchufe a la corriente hasta que la tapa y los tornillos esten en su lugar.
Elektrischer Gefahrenhinweis: Deckel von das 1G694-13 nicht abziehen unter spannung.
Gefahr für das personnal und/oder das gerät wegen gefährliche spannungen ensteht.
1G694-13 nicheinschalten so lang der deckel und schrauben nicht eingebaut sind.
Electrical Hazard: This unit may have more than one power supply cord. Disconnect two power
supply cords before servicing to avoid electric shock.
Riesgo Electrico: Cet appareil comporte plus d’un cordon d’alimentation. Rafin de prevenir les
chocs electriques, degrancher les deux cordons d’alimentation avant de faire le depannage.
Elektrischer Gefahrenhinweis: Dieses gerät hat mehr als einen netzanschluß. Trennen sie vor
wartungsarbeiten die 2 net zanschlüsse vom netz, um elektrische schläge zu vermeiden.
Electrical Hazard: Turn off the 1G694-13 by unplugging the power cord from the rear of the
chassis.
Riesgo Electrico: Apague el 1G694-13 desenchufe el cable de la unidad.
Elektrischer Gefahrenhinweis: Am hinten des 1G694-13 stechei abziehen um aus zu schalten.
Tip: Before performing step b, mark the cables connected to the switch according to their
associated port numbers. This is recommended for ease of reinstallation.
