2.2.2 Carria9e Mechanism
The carria9e is driven by the carria9e motor via a timin9 belt, and moves left and right alon9 the platen.
Since a stepPer motor is used for the
carria9e motor,
the
carria9e can be stopped and started at any
position. The carriage motor is controlled by a very simPle, oPen-lOOp sYstem-

2.2.3 Home Position Sensor
The home position sensor detects the home position of the
carria9e. A home-Positio

seek is performed
when the printer is initialized. The
control circuit stores the home position, which is referenced to control
the Carriz19f2 motor pOSitiOn.
