2.2 POWER SUPPLY UNIT
The power supply unit includes a DC regulator, intake fan, and interlock switch for the
lamp cover. This unit generates the voltages for the control circuit (+3.3 V, +5 V, +12 V,
+22 V) and for the light source lamp (+350 V) from AC input.
The PBS thermistor is installed on the side of the power supply intake fan and is retained
with a clamp on the power supply unit. It detects the temperature. If it senses overheating,
it shuts off the regulator output via the main board. Although a functional diagram is shown
below, never disassemble the power supply unit at field maintenance service.
