4.2 Before Starting Troubleshooting Procedures
Follow the flowchart shown below when troubleshooting projector problems and proceed to
the pertinent detailed flowchart (given on the next and subsequent pages).

Start
• Visually check the exterior. (Check for any damage to the
cover area.)
• Check internal cable connections except on the CN board
and FR board. (Remove the upper case unit.)
• Check power on/off and initialization (No signal display).
(Connect power cable and turn on the power.)
• Check screen display and picture quality. (Connect host
computer, video device, and RGB monitor.)
• Check audio output to the internal and external speakers.
• Check button operations on the control panel.
• Check button operations on the remote control.
• Check ELP communication functions from the remote control. (ELP
communication kit option is necessary.)
• Check for noise, overheating, and other problems.
