2.2.1. Connecting to Emote With an Ethernet Connection
2.2.1.1. Windows
Download Apple Bonjour Print Services. This installs a system component for nding any Bonjour
services on the network, which allows your H9000 to show up in Emote automatically without needing
to manually enter an IP address. Ater installing Bonjour Print Services, restart your computer, then
open Emote.
2.2.1.2. macOS
No conguration is necessary.
2.2.1.3. Startup
Ater pressing the power button on your H9000R, the Network button’s LED will ash for about two
minutes, then be dim for a few seconds, then brighten. Your H9000R will appear in Emote once the
Network LED has brightened.
From there, you can continue to use Ethernet, or alternatively you may select a Wi-Fi network for use
with the included Wi-Fi dongle.
2.2.2. Connecting to Emote With a Wi-Fi Connection
If no ethernet is present, you must create an initial connection between the H9000R and Emote by
using a Wi-Fi access point.
Plug the included Wi-Fi dongle into any USB port on the H9000R.
Turn on the H9000R, while simultaneously pressing the front panel “Network” button. This will
activate the H9000R’s Wi-Fi access point at startup. (Note that booting with the “Network” held
down will also implement the Clear Current State (Section B.1) recovery function. In this case,
you will user will lose whatever the machine’s current state was, but all saved data is
unaected.)
