Pressand system will show the status of current card as the figure below. Pressto toggle
between the two statuses. Press to exit. The selected value is the one shown on window when
exiting.
5.6.4.8 First Card Setting
Acardcanbesetaseitherfirstcardornotfromthebelowsubmenu:
Note: First card property indicates if the card can trigger the scheduled door verification rules. For
example, even when the doors are configured as always open during the office hour, but it will still
remain
lockedifNOcardwithenabled“Firstcard”propertyyetpresentedandgainedtheaccesstothe
doorsinthe officehour.Foreach day,thedoorverificationschedule willbetriggered(inthis example,
becometounlockedinofficehour)onlyafteracardwithenabled“firstcard”presentedandgainedthe
access.
Press and system will show the “Firstcard” setting of thecard as the figure below. Press to
togglebetweenON/OFFstatusofthefirstcardsetting.
5.6.4.9 Anti-Passback (APB) setting
NAV Controller features the Anti‐Passback (APB) function on each card. If APB is enabled, cardholder
must pass the door in the alternating enter/exit.That is, ifthe card is swipedto access the door, then
nexttimethecardcanonlybeallowedtoexitthatdoor.Ifcardholderattempts
toaccessthesamedoor
againwithoutfirstswipethecardtoexitthedoor,accessisdeniedandthedoorwillnotopen.
Atthefollowingsubmenu,press toenterAntiPassbacksetting:
TheAPBstatusofthecurrentcardisenabledordisabled,will bedisplayedasshown
below.Press
totogglebetweentwostatuses.Press toexit.
Note:Anti‐Passback(APB)isanaccesscontrolfunctionwherebyacardholderispreventedfrom“passing
back”hiscard to another person to gain entry into thesame area twice, withoutleaving. Facilities are
typicallyfittedwithbothEntryand
ExitreaderswhenAnti‐Passbackisimplemented.Acardholdermust
alternate usage between entry and exit readers. If the cardholder attempts to pass through an entry
readertwiceconsecutively,hisaccesswillbedeniedandthesystemwillgenerateanillegaleventwhen
thecardholder’scardisconfiguredasAPB
enabled.Becarefultoenablethisfunctioninthesystemwith
onlysinglesidereadersinstalledsomewhere.
