10.5 REVERSING THE OPENING
DIRECTION
The direction in which the barrier will open is decided
when it is installed. If the opening direction has to be
reversed, proceed as follows.
■ Preliminary operations
With reference to 43-1:
1. Remove the cover
2. Release the barrier and move the beam so that
it is vertical.
3. Lock the operator again.
4. Remove the beam and beam bracket.
■ Remove the spring unit
With reference to 43-2:
1. Remove the fastener that connects the plunger
piston to the balancer arm.
2. Unscrew the preload ring nut.
3. Remove the balancing spring and the spring
guide.
4. Connect the plunger piston to the correct fix-
ing hole.
■ Install the spring assembly on the piston on the opposite
side
With reference to 43-3:
1. Remove the fixing screw of the plunger piston on
the opposite side.
2. Unlock the automation.
3. Rotate the balancer by 90° and replace, in the
following order, the spring guide, the balancing
spring and the ring nut in the plunger piston on
the new closing side.
4. Fasten the plunger piston to the balancer arm.
5. Install the beam and beam bracket.
6. Balance the system again.
7. Lock the operator.
8. Invert the motor cable connection.
9. Put the cover back.
