Diesel Fuel Req uirements
Perkins is not in a position to continuously evaluate
and monitor all worldwide distillate diesel fuel
specications that are published by governments and
technological societies.
Table 16 provides a known reliable baseline in order
to judge the expected performance of distillate diesel
fuels that are derived from conventional sources.
Satisfactory engine performance is dependent on
the use of a good quality fuel. The use of a good
quality fuel will give the following results: long engine
life and acceptable exhaust emissions levels. The
fuel must meet the minimum requirements that are
stated in table 16.
