● Make sure that there is no contact between the fan and the air guide cover.
● Note that the cooling effect can be significantly impaired if the fan is dirty or if the surface
of the housing is covered with dust or contaminants that act as an insulating layer.
Clean the fan and the gear unit. Observe the cleaning information in chapter Maintenance
and servicing work (Page 87).

3.7.2 Cooling coil
Introduction
The gear unit can be equipped with a cooling coil in the oil sump. The cooling coil is connected
to a cooling water supply. The cooling water connection must be provided by the operator. The
cooling water can be fresh water, sea water or brackish water.
Principle of operation
Heat from the gear unit oil is transferred to the cooling water as it flows through the cooling
coil.
