8Installation of the Transducers
8.4 Transducer mounting fixture Variofix C
When measuring in reflection arrangement, 1 transducer mounting fixture is mounted on the side of the pipe (see Fig.
8.27).
When measuring in diagonal arrangement, 2 transducer mounting fixtures are mounted on the opposite sides of the pipe
(see Fig. 8.28).
In the following, the installation of a transducer mounting fixture is described (transducers in reflection arrangement).
Overview of the mounting steps
• step 1
disassemble the transducer mounting fixture Variofix C
• step 2
mount the tension straps (with or without clasp) and fix the rail to the tension straps with screws
• step 3
insert the transducers into the rail and fix them
• step 4
screw the cover onto the rail
