8.5.3 Installation of the rail with bolts
The number and arrangement of PermaFiX rails depends on the required transducer arrangement and transducer dis-
tance. See Fig. 8.47 for an overview of possible arrangements.
• Select the arrangement according to the measurement.
• Disassemble the transducer mounting fixture PermaFiX (see Fig. 8.45).
• Place one of the rails on the pipe.
• Insert the bolts (M6) into the holes of the rail and secure them with nuts.
• Slide the second rail (arrangement a) or the counter plate (arrangements b, c, d) onto the bolts on the opposite side of
the pipe and secure it with nuts.
• Make sure not to tilt the rails when tightening the nuts.
• Repeat the steps for the second rail, if necessary.
