Remove and Clean the Torch Assembly

9 Carefully remove the inner torch tool from the torch removal tool.
Clean the Inner and Outer Torch
1 Soak the inner torch tool in 10% Contrad/Decon for up to 1 hr.
2 Immerse the plasma end of the outer torch in 10% Contrad/Decon with caution. Do not
allow the 2 O-rings to contact the detergent.
3 Scrub the inner and outer torch with the appropriately sized glassware brush. Refer to
Table 8.
4 Rinse thoroughly with DIW.
5 Spray isopropanol inside both inner and outer torch and allow to air-dry thoroughly.
6 Clean the torch holder by wiping with a Kimwipe moistened with isopropanol to remove
any residue. Inspect O-rings for damage or discoloration and replace if necessary.
