CyTOF XT Startup Procedure
1 If the argon supply was on during the instrument shutdown, proceed to Step 2.
Otherwise, turn on argon gas supply 2 hr prior to restarting CyTOF XT. This allows the
instrument to achieve the necessary vacuum levels.
2 Turn on the system circuit breaker located on the right side of the instrument.
3 Press the illuminated Vacuum button, located on the right side of the instrument, to turn
on the vacuum pumps.
NOTE In the status panel, the vacuum and turbopump LEDs turns green within
approximately 15 min. The TOF vacuum LED may take several hours to reach ready
(green LED) state.
4 Turn on the RFG power circuit breaker, located on the right side of the instrument.
