Clean the Nebulizer Rest
Empty DIW from the tube of the nebulizer rest and add fresh DIW to the tube weekly or
more often as needed.
1 Turn the tube counterclockwise to remove it from the nebulizer rest.
2 Empty the DIW from the tube and fill it with fresh DIW.
3 Reconnect the tube to the nebulizer rest by turning the tube clockwise.
4 If the tube tilts, remove and replace the tube as many times as required until threaded
correctly (straight).
Clean the Injector and Spray Chamber
CAUTION Hot surface hazard. The torch components, the vacuum interface, and
the heater assembly components remain hot for some time after the plasma has
been shut off. Allow sufficient time, at least 20 min, for these items to cool to room
temperature before you handle them.
