Clean the Nebulizer

7 Firmly hold the nebulizer holder with one hand. With the other hand gently pull the
nebulizer off the nebulizer holder.
8 To clean the nebulizer, follow the daily cleaning method below.

IMPORTANT Do not sonicate the nebulizer or put pressure on the fragile nebulizer tip.
Daily Cleaning Method: 10% Contrad/Decon
NOTE Use this method first to remove any clogs that are not part of the daily cleaning. If
clog remains, follow the hot-water cleaning method detailed in the next section.
1 Label a 5 mL round-bottom tube and fill it with approximately 3 mL of 10%
Contrad/Decon.
2 Lubricate one end of Tubing 1 (larger diameter tubing) from the Nebulizer Cleaning Kit
with 10% Contrad/Decon.
3 Connect the side arm of the nebulizer to the syringe with Tubing 1.
