Bottle Station
The bottle station contains 4 bottles. Left to right, they are waste (1 L), Maxpar® Cell
Acquisition Solution Plus (Maxpar CAS Plus) (1 L), Maxpar Washing Solution (Maxpar WASH)
(500 mL), and Maxpar Water (500 mL).
The waste bottle accepts drainage from the nebulizer assembly, the carousel, and the wash
tube, as well as waste from the syringe pumps and the selector valve. Maxpar CAS Plus is
used for rinsing the probe line and flushing the Autosampler fluidics lines. It is also used as a
sample carrier and to resuspend cell pellets. Maxpar WASH is used for washing the
Autosampler fluidics lines, and Maxpar Water is used for rinsing the Autosampler fluidics lines.
Under the waste bottle is a sensor that illuminates the bottle in red when the bottle is full,
not present, or seated incorrectly. The bottle is illuminated in green otherwise.
Under each of the other 3 bottles is a sensor that illuminates the bottles in red when the
bottles are empty (less than 25% volume), not present, or seated incorrectly. The bottles are
illuminated in green otherwise.
