Set Up the Cleaver
Turning the cleaver OFF
1. Remove any fiber before powering off the cleaver.
2. Press the ON/OFF key and hold until the red LED turns on.
3. Confirm that all motors are stopped and the red LED has turned off. Unplug the
power cord from the cleaver.
Forced Shutdown
The cleaver can be shut down in emergency, without movement of motors if the ON/OFF key
is held for a certain time after the red LED lights up. In the event of some malfunction, shut
the cleaver down immediately using this process and unplug the AC cord. Do not use this
immediate shutdown function before you move or ship the cleaver. Vibration or shock during
transportation may damage the clamp stage if the left clamp is not in the home position.
Disconnect the AC power cord from the AC adapter or from the wall outlet immediately
when mechanical or electrical problems occur with the cleaver or AC adapter. Use the
cleaver in a place where you can quickly access to disconnect the power cord. Setup the

¾ It is possible for the left clamp to impact and break fibers, since the left clamp
stage moves forward when the power is turned off.
