Installing the Combi-lock
Precision is very important for the correct functioning of the
system when installing Combi-locks. This means that the
mutual distances between and heights of the fixed rail and
the traverse rail must be constant.
The parallel rail opposite the Combi-lock must always be
mounted on a bracket (position 1) to prevent the parallel
rail bending when subjected to a load.
If the ceiling construction is not completely rigid (of con-
crete), the suspension and/or reinforcement must be
installed in such a way as to ensure that any deflection of
the system is complementary, i.e. that the bracket for the
parallel rail and the bracket for the Combi-lock are fixed
to the same beam/reinforcement (position 3).
The mutual distances between traverse rails and fixed
rails must be constant. Stabilising brackets, for example
(position 2), can be used in connection with suspended
systems.
Note that there must be at least 10 mm (
7
/
16
") of space
from the lower edge of the rail to the upper edge of the
door leaf to leave space for the safety locks.
Fixed rails with safety locks (position 4) must be installed
with the shortest possible projection into the room
(but at least 100 mm (4") to gain optimum use of the rail
system. Parallel rails (position 5) can be installed between
135-200 mm (5

" - 8") and 230-290 mm (9
3
/
8
" - 11

")
from the end of fixed rails.
