1.4.3-3. Disposition of makeup ink inside main ink tank (at the time of installation)
Ink stream alignment is performed when installing the unit. Makeup ink should be
collected from gutter and returned to main ink tank at this time. If ink is replenished as
is, ink will be too thinned. Before replenishing ink, dispose of all makeup ink inside the
main ink tank.
(1) Pull out the main ink tank toward the front.
(2) Loosen the cap and remove the main ink tank.
(3) Dispose of makeup ink inside the tank, then return to original status.
1.4.3-4. Ink replenishment (at the time of installation)
(1) Stir settled objects inside the ink bottle.
For new ink before replenishment, note that ink components will settle inside ink
bottle during storage:
Be sure to stir ink using stirring bar before replenishment.
(2) Replenish ink.
Charge ink, which has been stirred enough in step (1), into ink reservoir. One full
bottle of ink can be charged at one time.
Replenish ink by pressing “Ink replacement” key on page 2 of “Circulation control”
of “Service maintenance” screen.
