7.2 Control related alarm messages
You can deal with the alarm messages listed below yourself, with the help of the description. If an alarm
message appears on your TopTronic
®
E control module that is not listed below, please contact Hoval Cus
tomer Service.
7.3 Plant-related alarm messages
Malfunction Inspection/cause Remedy
Oil boiler
does not start
- Is power supply present? - Check fuses. Switch on the main/emergency
switch or plug in the power plug.
- Is the red fault indicator lit? - Press the reset button on the control panel
- Call Hoval customer service
- Oil level check - Top up oil
- Is the burner connector plugged in? - Plug in the connector
- Has the safety temperature limiter tripped? - Call Hoval customer service
Gas burner is not
running
- Is power supply present? - Check fuses. Switch on the main/emergency
switch or plug in the power plug.
- Is the gas cock open? - Open
- Is the fault lamp lit? - Press the fault clearance key
- Notify the oil burner service
- Is gas available? - Ask the gas board
- Is the burner connector plugged in? - Plug in the connector
- Has the safety temperature limiter tripped? - Loosen the screws and unlock by pressing
the button
Radiators or un-
deroor heating
do not become
warm
- Are the slide valves in the heating ow and
return open?
- Open slide valve
- Is the main switch set incorrectly? - Main switch ON
- Is the operating mode switch set incorrect-
ly?

- Check using operating instructions for the
heating control
- Check the setting on the temperature adjuster - Increase setting
- Check the water level / pressure - Too low - notify installer
- Are the radiator valves open? - Open
- The heating circulating pump is not running - Open the locking screw, and turn end of
shaft vigorously with a screwdriver until the-
re is no longer resistance
- Mixer does not open automatically - Open by hand; call Customer Service
