zoneset
Description Manages zonesets and component zones across the fabric.
Authority Admin session and a Zoning Edit session. See the zoning edit command. The active, list,
and zones operands are available without an Admin session. You must close the Zoning Edit
session before using the activate and deactivate operand.

Operands
activate [zone_set]
Activates the zoneset given by [zone_set]. This operand deactivates the active zoneset. Close the
Zoning Edit session before using this operand.
active
Displays the name of the active zoneset. This operand does not require Admin session.
add [zone_set] [zone_list]
Adds a list of zones and aliases given by [zone_list] to the zoneset given by [zone_set]. Use a
<space> to delimit zone and alias names in [zone_list]. You must enter the zoning save
command to save your changes.
copy [zone_set_source] [zone_set_destination]
Creates a new zoneset named [zone_set_destination] and copies into it the zones from the
zoneset given by [zone_set_source]. You must enter the zoning save command to save your
changes.
create [zone_set]
Creates the zoneset with the name given by [zone_set]. A zoneset name must begin with a letter
and be no longer than 64 characters. Valid characters are alphanumeric, _, $, ^, and -. The
zoning database supports a maximum of 256 zonesets. You must enter the zoning save
command to save your changes.
deactivate
Deactivates the active zoneset. Close the Zoning Edit session before using this operand.
delete [zone_set]
Deletes the zoneset given by [zone_set]. If the specified zoneset is active, the command is
suspended until the zoneset is deactivated. You must enter the zoning save command to save
your changes.
list
Displays a list of all zonesets. This operand does not require an Admin session.
remove [zone_set] [zone_list]
Removes a list of zones given by [zone_list] from the zoneset given by [zone_set]. Use a
<space> to delimit zone names in [zone_list]. If [zone_set] is the active zoneset, the zone will
not be removed until the zoneset has been deactivated. You must enter the zoning save
command to save your changes.
