In general, GPUs that have a power requirement higher than 75W require an external auxiliary
power cable connection. Due to thermal considerations, the use of an auxiliary power cable in
the primary riser cage area is not supported. To prevent improper thermal conditions in the
server, only install GPU options that do not require an external auxiliary power cable in the
primary PCI riser cage.

documentation.

10. Identify the cable connector on system board.
11. Connect the GPU and rear 2-SFF power cable to system board.
12. Install the air baffle.
13. Store and route the GPU and rear 2-SFF power cables in the slot on the air baffle.
