6. Determine the status of the drive from the drive LED definitions.

Installing an NVMe drive
Prerequisites
If NVMe drives are installed, review Fan population guidelines on page 86 to make sure that the
server has adequate fans installed.
Procedure
1. If installed, remove the front bezel.
2. Remove the drive blank.
3. Prepare the drive.
