a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
4. Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
5. Do one of the following:
• Extend the server from the rack.
• Remove the server from the rack.
6. Remove the access panel.
7. If the full-length GPU or the 12G SAS expander is installed, remove the riser cage.
8. Remove the air baffle.
Installing the air baffle
CAUTION: For proper cooling, do not operate the server without the access panel, baffles,
expansion slot blanks, or blanks installed. If the server supports hot-plug components, minimize the
amount of time the access panel is open.
