12. If internal cables are required for the expansion board, connect the cables.
13. If removed, install the air baffle.
14. Install the riser cage.
15. Connect all cables to system board/backplane.
16. Install the access panel.
17. Install the server into the rack.
18. Connect all peripheral cables to the server.
19. Connect each power cord to the server.
20. Connect each power cord to the power source.
21. Power up the server on page 43.
The installation is complete.
Installing the HPE 12G SAS Expander Card option
The HPE 12G SAS expander card is supported in the PCIe3 expansion slot 1.
Prerequisites
Before you perform this procedure, make sure that you have a T-10 Torx screwdriver available.
Procedure
1. Power down the server.
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
