4. Do one of the following:
• Extend the server from the rack.
• Remove the server from the rack.
5. Remove the access panel.
6. Remove the primary riser cage.
7. Remove the air baffle.
8. Remove the expansion slot blank.
9. Connect all Mini-SAS cables to the SAS expander according to the labels on cables.
10. Install the 12G SAS expander card.
11. Install a Smart Array controller.
12. Connect the Mini-SAS cables between the SAS expander and the controller according to the
labels on cables.
13. Install the cable clip on the air baffle.
14. Install the air baffle.
15. Install the primary riser cage.
16. Connect the Mini-SAS cables to SFF drives.
17. Route the Mini-SAS cables along the chassis and cable clip on the air baffle.
18. Close the cable clip on the air baffle.
19. Install the access panel.
20. Install the server into the rack.
21. Connect all peripheral cables to the server.
22. Connect each power cord to the server.
