Step 3 Remove the base plate of the new fingerprint scanner, as shown by 4 and 5 in Figure 5-36.
Step 4 Install the base plate of the new fingerprint scanner.
Step 5 Connect cables, as shown by 6 in Figure 5-36.
Step 6 Fix the fingerprint scanner onto the base plate, as shown by 7 and 8 in Figure 5-36.
Step 7 Configure the fingerprint scanner by referring to the management system initial configuration
table and documents delivered with the fingerprint scanner.

Follow-up Procedure
Dispose of the removed fingerprint scanner that is confirmed faulty.
5.3.13.7 Replacing an Access Controller
Prerequisites
An access controller needs to be replaced.
A spare access controller of the same model is available and functional.

Preparations
Tools: Phillips screwdriver, small-sized flat-head screwdriver, protective gloves
Materials: key to the access controller box, spare access controller
Documents required: documents delivered with the access controller, power supply and
distribution system diagram, initial configuration parameters for the management system
Skill requirement: weak-current engineer
