Procedure
Step 1 Cut off the power supply to the fire control panel, remove screws securing the gas release
indicator to its base, and remove the gas release indicator, as shown in Figure 5-43.

Step 2 Remove the cables from the faulty indicator, and connect the cables to a new gas release
indicator (polarity insensitive).
Step 3 Install the new gas release indicator.
Step 4 Power on the fire control panel.
Step 5 Check whether the new gas release indicator is working properly.

Follow-up Procedure
Dispose of the removed gas release indicator that is confirmed faulty.
5.4.4 Replacing a Fire Alarm Horn Strobe
Prerequisites

A fire alarm horn strobe is faulty.

A spare fire alarm horn strobe of the same model is available and functional.
