Step 3 Remove the terminal block of the faulty access card reader, and take out the access card
reader.
Step 4 Connect a new access card reader to the terminal block.
Step 5 Reinstall the support, tighten the screws in the direction shown in Figure 5-29, and reinstall
the baffle plates.
Step 6 Reset parameters by referring to the management system initial configuration guide.
Step 7 Check that the new access card reader is working properly.

Follow-up Procedure
Dispose of the removed card reader that is confirmed faulty.
5.3.13.2 Replacing an Exit Button
Prerequisites
An exit button needs to be replaced.
A spare exit button of the same model is available and functional.

Procedure
Step 1 Disassemble the faulty exit button, remove cables, and remove the faulty exit button, as
shown in Figure 5-30.
