Dispose of the removed emergency start/abort button that is confirmed faulty.
5.4.7 Replacing a Battery in the VESDA Power Box
Prerequisites
A battery in the VESDA power box is faulty.
A spare VESDA power box battery of the same model is available and functional.
Impact on the System

Preparations
Tools: Phillips screwdriver, protective gloves
Materials: spare VESDA power box battery, key to the VESDA power box door
Documents required: fire extinguishing device layout diagram
Skill requirement: fire extinguishing engineer

Procedure
Step 1 Move the VESDA power box battery to the position indicated on the fire extinguishing device
layout diagram.
Step 2 Open the power box using a key, as shown in Figure 5-48.

Step 3 Remove cables from the faulty VESDA battery.
