When you are not conducting a videoconference, you can
use the display of the Videoconferencing Terminal as a
computer display.
This chapter describes the use of the Videoconferencing
Terminal other than as a videoconference terminal.
Using as Computer
Display
By connecting the Videoconferencing Terminal to a
computer, you can view the picture from a computer on the
display of the system.
Connecting to a Computer
Remove the rear cover of the Videoconferencing Terminal
and connect a computer.
For removing the rear cover, see page 20.
When a computer is connected, you can either use a
separate mouse for the ViewPoint 8050 and the computer,
or you can link the ViewPoint 8050 and the computer
using a USB cable (commercially available) and control
both devices with the same mouse.
Use a USB cable that is 3 m (10 ft.) or shorter.
Note
