5.1.4 Brake cable
To do a check of the parking brake
1. Park the product on a hard surface that slopes.
NOTE: Do not park the product on a grass slope
when you do a check of the parking brake.
2. Press the parking brake pedal down (1)
3. Press and hold the lock button (2) and release
the parking brake pedal while the button is
pressed.

4. If the product starts to move, adjust the partking
brake.
5. Press the parking brake again to release the
partking brake.
If the product does not stay still once the parking
brake has been adjusted, the parking brake cable
must be replaced.
Adjusting the brake cable RC318T
1. Position the product on a at ground.
2. Remove the transmission cover
3. Unhook the spring (1) from the screw (2).

4. Make sure that the parking brake is released.
5. Adjust so there is a 1mm play between the outer
cable and the adjuster screw when you pull the
outer cable.
6. Tighten the nuts carefully to prevent damage to
the adjuster screw.
7. Ret the spring.
NOTE: Do a check of the parking brake again
after adjustments have been made.
WARNING: An incorrectly adjusted
parking brake can result in reduced
braking ability.
