5.2.6 Changing engine oil

Combination wrench 19 mm
WARNING: Engine oil is very hot if it is
drained directly after the engine is
stopped. Allow the engine to cool down
rst.
WARNING: Used engine oil is a health
hazard and must always be disposed of
at an appropriate disposal site.
WARNING: Avoid skin contact, wash
with soap and water in case of spills.
The engine oil should be changed the rst time after
50 hours running time. Follow the intervals specied
in the Service Journal.
1. Put a container below the left engine oil drain
plug.
2. Open the plastic cap on the end of the oil drain
plug.
3. Put a containerbelow the oil drain plug.
4. To make it easier to drain the oil without spill,
attach for example a plastic hose to the end of the
oil drain plug.
5. Remove the dipstick.
6. Turn the oil drain plug counterclockwise and pull
out to open it.
7. Let the oil drain into a container.
8. Push the oil drain plug and turn it clockwise to
close it.
9. Fill the engin whith new oil.
10. Run the engine warm, then make sure that there
is no leakage from the oil plug.

5.2.5 Replacing the engine oil lter
WARNING: Risk of spray and burn
injuries. The engine oil lter is very hot
immediately after the engine is stopped.
Allow the engine to cool down rst.
WARNING: Avoid skin contact, wash
with soap and water in case of spills.
CAUTION: Replaced lters must be
disposed of at an assigned disposal
site.
1. Turn the oil lter counterclockwise to remove.
2. Lightly lubricate the rubber seal on the new oil
lter with new oil.
3. To attach the oil lter, turn it clockwise by hand
until the rubber seal is seated, then tighten a half
turn more.
4. Fill with new oil.
5. Start the engine and let it idle for 3 minutes, then
stop it and make sure that the oil lter does not
leak.
6. Fill with oil to compensate for the oil held in the
new oil lter.
7. Do a check of the oil level in the engine, top up if
necessary. The oil lter capacity is about 0.3 liters
of oil.
