5.2.3 Transmission oil change
Tools Dimension
Torx T30
Allen Key 10 mm
Flat-blade screwdriver --
CAUTION: Obey the instructions in
section “5.6.1 Hydraulic hygiene” on
page 42.
Transmission capacity is 0.9 liters fully synthetic
engine oil SAE 10W/50 in the respective gearbox.
Make it easier to change oil by warming up the engine
before draining the oil.
1. Place a container under both the front and rear
transmission.
2. Drain the front transmission with the 2 plugs on
each side of the shaft.
3. Drain the rear transmission with the 2 plugs and
remove the lter.
4. Attach the drain plugs and ll with new oil. See
“2.2.4 Transmission oil level” on page 8.
5. Bleed the transmission. See “5.6.7 Bleeding the
hydraulic system” on page 52.
6. Test run the product and top up with oil to the
correct level in the oil tank.
5.2.4 Replacing the hydrostat lter
The lter is located at the back of the rear
transmission and should be changed when the oil is
changed.
1. Put a container below the transmission.
2. Drain the oil from the rear transmission
(approximately 2.5 liters) through both drain
plugs.
3. Remove the lid and pull out the lter.
4. Put the new lter in place. Coax it in so that the
rubber seal in the front end enters into position. If
the spring projects so it must be pressed together
before the lid thread has “taken”, the lter is not in
the correct position.
5. Attach the lid.
